Here is an update on the status of your Business Club and upcoming and future events:
NEW!! NETWORK CONNECTOR EVENTS
This new event is a short business network event where the main aim is for your to gather as many quality business leads and contacts that you can within the space of a few hours.
This is highly suitable for those who have a busy lifestyle and can’t attend the Mini-Expo events, which take longer.
The Network Connector even is hosted by a Sponsor Business, at their premises.
As a Sponsor Business Hosting the Event (which means providing the premises and all the facilities) the Sponsor Business will now be in the spotlight and will get prime presentation time, which means they get to present their business to the attendees.
After the Sponsor Business has done their presentation, we open for networking immediately.
Refreshments will be available as usual.
We are planning to have our first Network Connector Events in Durban and South Coast in September/October this year, and we intend to have them several times a year in both areas from next year.
WHO CAN BECOME A HOST / SPONSOR BUSINESS
Any business or individual who has the premises to cater for about 30 to 40 attendees if you are in a city.
Smaller premises will be considered for smaller areas.
Hosting and catering means providing chairs, catering tables, toilets, parking facilities and a large enough room or hall to accommodate everyone.
We will provide the refreshments on the day.
HOW TO BECOME A HOST / SPONSOR BUSINESS
If you are interested in becoming a Host in your area and you have the facilities, please contact Caz Livingstone, Club Manager via phone, WhatsApp or email with your query.
WHO CAN ATTEND A NETWORK CONNECTORS EVENT
Any UBC Club Member from Bronze Status upwards.
If you are not already a member, please note that Bronze Membership is free. Once our site is ready to take membership applications, we will let everyone know via email and also update our Live-News page.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND A NETWORK CONNECTORS EVENT
1. Once our membership site is up and running again, and once we have loaded the event booking info onto the Live-news page, simply log into your members account and visit the Shop to book and pay for your seat.
2. To prepare, we recommend you have business cards or flyers, catalogs – can be online of offline and your smart device. There will not be any display tables at this type of event.
3. If you personally can’t attend but would still like your business represented, feel free to book one of your official trained representatives for the event.
ANNUAL MINI-EXPO EVENTS
We decided to work on improving our Mini-Expo Events (offline) and we will hold them from next year. These events will include tables for your team to fully display you products, banners and market materials as usual.
We also are planning prime presentation spots which double up with entertainment value, for example, one member has agreed to do a fashion show for us at one of the events.
We also are talking to some potentially huge sponsors, who will get involved with the cost of the premises and advertising, giving us further exposure.
All this is currently in the pipeline, as we intend to have much larger Mini-Expo events next year.
We are still working on the club website software – there has been some dramatic changes to the core software that has affected membership access to your back-office.
We have also taken the Professional Members Directory offline until its fixed.
This means that we cannot take new membership registrations or bookings right now, and you won’t be able to access your back office until it is fixed.
We will notify you once its up and running again.
